Benjamin Opticians has been providing renowned eye care services to the local community in Skipton, Craven and the Yorkshire Dales for over 70 years.

Benjamin’s is an independent optometrist and contact Lens practitioner based in Skipton, headed up by practice owner Liz Ellis, who has over 30 years experience in vision care.

Since its establishment by Clifford Benjamin in 1953, the practice aim has been to achieve the highest standards of clinical and patient care. We are proud of our heritage and attribute our success to our values today, still built on that principal. Eye care excellence for over 70 years!

Meet The Team

Liz’s professional colleagues are Optometrists Hannah Cutler, Caroline Chambers, Chris Davey, Naila Rehman, Zarghona Khan and Joy Dunn; Contact Lens Optician Tim Armitage and Dispensing Opticians Izzy Booth and James Brown.

All our professional staff are fully qualified eye care practitioners registered with the General Optical Council. We are pleased to be encouraging new people into our profession and shortly to qualify is Dispensing Optician Niamh Leigh, Trainee Dispensing Optician Beatrice Lewis and Optical Assistant Beth Horton, who is the newest member of our team.

Overseeing all aspects of the practice is Practice Manager Julian Hotchkiss. Supporting our qualified team and helping to deliver a high standard of service are reception staff, Julie, Karen, Susan and Christine, Practice Administrator Julie Robinson and Reception Manager Nicky Eyles.
